Description

Oak furniture handle with an asymmetrical front, in the color of natural oak wood. Screw spacing: 128 mm.

BASIC HALF-ROUND is a new furniture handle from the BASIC series – it is an elegant and comfortable addition to the interior, which will work well both in Scandinavian interiors and with more traditional styles. Thanks to the use of natural oak wood and careful finishing, it is a beautiful item that will add class to the interior.
The asymmetrical form of the handle (rounded on one side of the handle, rectangular on the other) allows the handle to be used in many ways: as an asymmetrical, single handle for a cabinet or drawer, as a series of asymmetrical handles, in pair with the second BASIC HALF-ROUND handle or in combination with BASIC knobs.

The BASIC HALF-ROUND furniture handle, like other handles from our offer, is designed and manufactured to ensure its durability in everyday use. When connecting wooden elements, we do not rely solely on adhesives, we use steel elements to strengthen the connection points. For this reason, our furniture handles can be used even with heavy cabinets and drawers, refrigerators and dishwashers.

The oak wood from which we make BASIC handles is protected with oil in one of three versions to choose from (natural ECO oil, natural colorless oil, colorless oil for the kitchen and bathroom). More information about oils and wood care can be found below (“Description of oil finishes and care” tab).

The handles are made of natural raw materials, therefore the fronts of individual furniture handles are slightly different from each other. However, we try to select similar handles within one order.

On request, we can also make handles from this series with screw spacing of: 96 mm, 160 mm or 192 mm

Our products are handmade, with great care for the quality of construction and finishing. It may happen that individual handles, knobs and hangers will have dimensions slightly different than those given above (differences below 1 mm). We love natural materials and careful manual work, their unpredictability and unique character, but we always make sure that the handles you order form a coherent whole – both in terms of dimensions and aesthetics.

Which oil to choose?

Soft, colorless oil (semi-matte) – ecological oil made of components of plant origin in combination with beeswax. It protects against moisture, while allowing to obtain a matte surface of the wood, emphasizing the grain pattern. Polish product. It has a PZH certificate for use in rooms intended for permanent residence of people and for the food industry.

Colorless hard oil (semi-matte) – a natural hard wax oil. It does not contain solvents. A wooden surface impregnated with this oil is even more resistant to water and abrasions and stays bright for longer (less yellowing) compared to the soft, colorless, semi-matte oil.

Colorless hard oil (gloss) for kitchen and bathroom – a mixture of natural resins and vegetable oils, which provides a strong protection against dirt and moisture. It is recommended for handles intended for high humidity interiors. Wood protected with this oil is slightly darker than when impregnated with the semi-matt hard oil from our offer.

Cleaning and care

Wood impregnated with natural soft oil should be refreshed by wiping it with a soft cloth gently soaked in oil (it can be refined cooking oil) – it will revive the color and renew the impregnating layer. The frequency of this care depends on the extent to which the wood is used on a daily basis. Only dry wood can be coated with oil. Refreshing of handles is required less frequently in rooms with dry air, slightly more often where the contact with water is more frequent.

Dirty oiled wood can be cleaned with a well pressed soft cloth soaked in a mild solution of gray soap, in the direction of the wood grain. Do not use synthetic detergents and other strong cleaning agents.
Oiled wood must not come into contact with alcohol – it could discolor permanently.

Wood impregnated with hard colorless oils (which we recommend for bathrooms and kitchens) can also be cleaned with a well pressed soft cloth soaked in a mild solution of gray soap, in the direction of the wood grain. Do not use synthetic detergents and other strong cleaning agents.
Oiled wood must not come into contact with alcohol – it could discolor permanently.

If the coating requires renovation, the sanded, dust-free handle should be re-oiled with two layers of oil.
