Custom-made handles create a dynamic flow in our workshop. And if a project requires our involvement at the design stage, it also raises our expectations for the overall look of the interior. The project we're describing today began on Długa Street in Warsaw, where our clients were strolling on a Sunday or Saturday evening. They spotted our handle displays in the Długa Showroom window and were captivated by the rich, deep colors of the enameled knobs. The showroom was already closed, so they returned to Długa Street to touch the handles and see them in person.
Change of concept – enameled handles instead of mosaic
The next meeting took place in our studio, where we discussed the possibility of using enamel in our clients' kitchens. The idea of decorating furniture fronts with enameled copper mosaics evolved into decorating the fronts with enameled handles.
The color of the kitchen cabinets we were looking for together is an unusual, off-white green. It looks faded. It's not an easy color. The striking elements in this interior include the concrete countertop, the graphic gray tiles above the countertop, and the stylized gas stove. We're enchanted by the tiles!
We chose from dozens of knob designs
When the kitchen cabinets were ready, we visited our clients, bringing with us a box of enameled knobs and handles. The host wanted to match the style of the stove and incorporate the color we use in the "STRUCTURE copper knob" pattern. The hostess wanted the kitchen to be dominated by more than just elegant yet somber colors. Together, we faced the challenge!
We chose black, copper, and blood red. We used these colors on the long BASIC ROUND handles and the 4 cm diameter knobs. We embellished most of the enameled handles with burnished nails, leaving only the red knobs plain – giving the entire kitchen a modern, feminine touch.
After the customers received the handles, we waited to see the final result. We took the promised photo session when the kitchen was finished. We spent some time together in a wonderful atmosphere :):) and now we invite you to view the photos :)
