Recently, there's been a lot of talk about metal interior finishing elements – polished brass and copper fittings, lamps, and ornaments. Knobs and handles made from these materials are also enjoying great popularity. It's no longer about oxidized, "aged" objects, but about the modern character that mirror-polished metal, often in irregular, unusual shapes, gives an interior. Even subdued, calm interiors gain a unique, elegant character when polished gold or copper elements appear.

Gold and copper furniture knobs – our way!
At DOTmanufacture, we've been working on this topic for a while now. On the one hand, we want to approach the matter rationally – create a design specifically for brass or copper furniture knobs to best capture the colors, create it entirely in metal, and you're done. You'll definitely see these knobs on our website sooner or later. But you know us – we don't want to introduce yet another product similar to dozens of others. We have our favorite techniques; we always have to mix things up, approach the subject in our own way. Curious about what we've created?

What gold, what copper?
We had several dilemmas that needed to be resolved. What did we expect from the product? First and foremost, the characteristic copper and gold color and the captivating metallic sheen. At the same time, we wanted to start by creating customer-friendly furniture knobs—ones that are easy to maintain and won't lose their color over time like metal oxidizing in the air. And finally, our eternal desire—we wanted to create something unique. Not only different from furniture knobs and handles available on the market (because who needs a tenth implementation of a similar project?), but also unique in the production of each individual piece. We love irregularity and the surprising results that can be admired if only we make room for them. That's why we decided to experiment further with enamel.
This technique allowed us to create furniture knobs that have a color similar to gold, brass, or copper, with the added depth that only translucent enamel can provide. Because they are not made entirely of metal, they do not change appearance over time or darken from touch or exposure to air.
Our passion is creating objects that can not only decorate an interior but also transform it – transforming, for example, mass-produced furniture into something more personal, into objects tailored to the personality of the people who use them.
