Furniture knobs in the new DOT catalog
As we prepared to participate in a conference organized by the Institute of Industrial Design, we knew it was time to fulfill a long-held plan and create our own, unique catalog of cabinet knobs, kitchen knobs, children's room knobs, and bathroom knobs. In short: a cross-section of what we have to offer, attractively presented and described. At first, we didn't know where to create such a catalog, and designing it from scratch seemed so time-consuming that we put it off. Until finally, we decided it was time!
Catalog of furniture knobs in many homes…
First, of course, we had to decide why we wanted to print the catalog, as this informed decisions related to cost and the potential location for printing. Would we need a less elegant catalog, printed in larger quantities so we could hand it out to potential clients or colleagues? This solution certainly had its advantages: a catalog designed this way is more memorable than the business card or flyer we had previously. It would also be more affordable, so beautiful photos of our furniture knobs would be welcomed into more homes and studios. Yes, it's probably a good idea, but not at the moment.
…or one detailed catalog with high-quality photos of furniture handles and knobs?
With the aforementioned conference in mind, we decided to create something different: a beautiful, polished catalog in a single copy, sure to impress passersby. As luck would have it, we happened to find a good offer at Saal Digital, and everything went smoothly. Our photography-savvy team always ensures we have well-conceived and carefully crafted photos, so that wasn't a problem, and the printing company's software made the entire design process easier. In the end, the catalog was created. On the one hand, it could serve as a source of inspiration, drawing inspiration from authentic interiors and showing how our furniture handles can be used. On the other hand, it was, in its own way, a cross-section of what we offer, as it features various types of knobs: glass handles, wooden knobs, enameled knobs, and ceramic knobs.
Baptism of fire of the furniture knobs catalog
Looking back on the conference at the Institute of Industrial Design, we can confidently say that the catalog was a hit. It beautifully complemented the furniture knob stand we had set up and was a real eye-catcher. Many people stopped to browse it, because although we had many furniture handles to show, it allowed us to present our knobs in the context of real kitchens and bedrooms. We were (and still are) delighted with it, and we invite you to see what it all looks like in the photos :)
